According to the book The Metabolic Approach to Cancer, The Terrain Approach is “for those who are motivated to take charge of their health and willing to make lifestyle changes. It’s about getting to know yourself, and maybe changing things you never thought possible. It’s about asking questions, and not shying away from the answers. It’s about undoing the notion that you are a victim of cancer and you have no control over the process. Because you do.”
I was just diagnosed, do I have to be working with a "Terrain Certified Provider" before I work with a Terrain Advocate?
No, you do not. We can help you find a terrain-focused provider to add to your healing team, get you started with the intake process, and have you ready to go for your first appointment. Eventually, you will need to have a terrain-focused provider oversee your care, but we can sure get you started!
Can I work with a terrain advocate and NOT work with a terrain focused provider?
In most cases, Terrain Advocates work directly under a terrain-focused provider trained in the metabolic/terrain approach to cancer by Dr. Nasha Winters. A Terrain Advocate can help you get started, connect you with a provider, help you implement the terrain-focused provider's individual healing plan, and support you on the journey. We work as a team.
